Experiment description
In this experiment, we will explore the concept of mechanical advantage using a fixed pulley. one lifted directly upward, and the other lifted by pulling downward through a fixed pulley system. You can also adjust the mass of the blocks using a control slider. By comparing the two methods, you will observe that the fixed pulley does not reduce the amount of effort required, but it makes the lifting process more convenient by changing the direction of the applied force.
