Experiment description
In this experiment, a laboratory thermometer is observed carefully to find the smallest temperature value it can measure. The temperature difference between two bigger marks is divided by the number of smaller divisions between them. For the thermometer shown, the difference is 10 degrees Celsius and there are 10 small divisions, so each small division represents 1 degree Celsius. Therefore, the smallest value this thermometer can read is 1 degree Celsius.
