Measuring the Temperature of Warm Water Using a Laboratory Thermometer

Measuring the Temperature of Warm Water Using a Laboratory Thermometer

Experiment description

In this experiment, a laboratory thermometer is used to measure the temperature of warm water. The thermometer is immersed in the water and the liquid column is observed as it rises. When the liquid column becomes steady, the temperature is noted while the thermometer is still immersed in the water.
