Titration between Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Carbonate

Titration between Hydrochloric Acid and Sodium Carbonate

Experiment description

This experiment demonstrates titration between hydrochloric acid and sodium carbonate. Sodium carbonate solution is taken in a flask with methyl orange indicator, and hydrochloric acid is added slowly from a burette. As the acid is added, sodium carbonate is gradually neutralized and carbon dioxide is released. The end point is reached when the yellow colour changes to orange and remains, indicating complete neutralization of sodium carbonate.
